Ever wanted to go see the northern lights?? I know I sure have! Well in Lapland, Finland the Kakslauttanen hotel (yeah don’t ask me to pronounce that!) will offer you the experience of a lifetime.
Known as the Lapland Igloo Village, it boasts 20 glass igloos (and some snow igloos too, if you really want to freeze your butt off) where you can spend the night under the beautiful aurora borealis (makes me look smart using the real “term”, but I had to spell check it) in a room temperature glass igloo, that is even equipped with a toilet, yay!
The inside of the glass igloo is constantly kept at room temperature, and it has been made out of specially designed thermo glass to prevent frosting, so you have a clear view of the outdoors.Even when there is no “light show”, you can still lie under the glass, and look upon the stars in the night sky or enjoy a snow storm from the comfort of your igloo.
To me it sounds super relaxing and would definitely be a site to see. But I kind of wonder how much privacy you have?? Like can you look over and see your neighbour as clear as you can the stars?? And where exactly is this toilet in my igloo?? Cause I kinda like to have a door when it comes to bathroom business, ya feel me??
But all that aside, it sounds fantastic and on top of your northern light experience, they also offer an ice bar, an ice gallery, ice chapel and the world’s largest snow restaurant.
Something to experience for sure!! What do you think??
